How to write a Research Brief
We are always happy to work with you to put together a research brief, but here are some suggestions for what to include, to help you get started
:
-
A brief description of your organisation
-
The research objectives - what are the key things you want to find out and why?
-
How the research will be used - e.g. to secure funding, to develop a marketing strategy etc
-
Details of other information that you already have, e.g. previous research, that the consultant can use
-
-
Details of the allocated budget
-
How the project will be managed – who will be the lead contact for the consultant?
-
How you would like the research findings presented – if you want a report, how many copies and what format? do
you want a formal debrief / presentation at the end?
-
What you want from the consultant in response to your brief - what information do you need and when? What criteria will you use to select your consultants?
